Kim Junsu, also known as Dong Bang Shin Ki's Xiah Junsu, was born in Gyeonggi-do on December 15, 1986 with his fraternal twin, Junho. As a student, Junsu was known for his good vocals. However, his ultimate dream was to become a renowned soccer player, and he practiced endlessly to perfect his skills.

His dream radically changed when he saw the Korean group H.O.T perform on TV, and his new goal became to be able to perform on a stage. In that spirit, Junsu successfully auditioned for the 6th Starlight Academy Casting System and joined S.M. Entertainment. His training lasted 6 years, longer than any other TVXQ member. Due to his constantly delayed debut, Junsu felt discouraged on several occasions, but held on to his dream both through perseverance and because of his mother's former dream of becoming a star.

Finally, in 2003, Junsu was the first member to join Dong Bang Shin Ki, commencing an immensely successful career. His perfectly controlled and unique vocals make him one of the strongest performers in the industry, and his cute and sensible personality makes him one of Korea' dearest.

Although Junsu' hobby is still soccer, he truly shines on stage and brings a beautiful energy to the group. He will continue to be our angel Xiah Junsu for years and years to come. <3
